I love looking through gift guides for inspiration. Being someone that lives to travel, it was so much fun to put together a gift guide for travelers. The other thing I love is doing all my holiday shopping online and getting my shopping done before December starts. First up, a gift guide for the traveler in your life. You can click on any of the photos to purchase the item. In case you are wondering, I get a small commission if you buy anything and there is no additional cost to you.
Best Gifts for a Traveler
To use this gift guide, you can click on any image in the above collage. You’ll also find categories of shoppable images below. We’ve included our favorite items in text format too.
There’s something here for every travel lover – even armchair travelers.
A Puffer Jacket for Travel
Everyone needs a lightweight warm jacket for travel. The best reason to choose a puffer jacket is that they can be rolled up and stored in a small pouch. They are the perfect weight for the airplane and anywhere that has cool nights.
Top Choice: Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket for Women and Men’s Nano Puff
One of the top choices in puffer jackets. It is very lightweight and the perfect for chilly nights. You can layer under it or on top to add more warmth.
It’s more expensive than some other options but we love the eco conscious Patagonia manufacturing and the quality justifies the cost. You’ll be able to use it for years.
Best Price Down Puffer: Eddie Bauer Women’s CirrusLite or the Eddie Bauer Men’s CirrusLite
If you don’t want to spend a few hundred dollars on your puffer jacket, the Eddie Bauer is the most affordable puffer jacket with 650 down filling.
It comes in 9 colors and is fitted but not too tight so you can add a fleece layer underneath to make it warmer.
Budget Choice: Amazon Essentials Water-Resistant Puffer Jacket
Although not the same quality as a down puffer jacket, it’s an excellent jacket for the price point. The fit is great, it is water resistant, comes in 16 colors, and the price makes it a great gift for anyone in your life.
Packable Hats & Scarves for Warm and Cold Weather
Hats & Scarves for Cold Weather
A cute pom beanie with fleece lining for women or this fleece lined beanie for men are great gifts and easily packable. Your traveling fashionista will love to bundle up with this Free People blanket scarf that comes in a multiple colors. A nice men’s winter scarf comes in handy for a trip or every day for those that live in cold weather.
Scarves for Warm Weather
A neutral lightweight scarf for a trip to a place like Bali or Egypt, where a head covering is required for women, is such a great gift.
For women or men, a Buff that can be worn 16 different ways is incredibly useful and makes a great stocking stuffer. It’s perfect for hikers or anyone who encounters dust. It can also serve as a face mask. Or it can be used as a headband. For such a great price, this pack of 12 Buffs makes the world’s great stocking stuffer for all the travelers in your life.
Hats for warm weather need to be easily packable like this foldable straw hat for a beach vacation.
Suitcase, Backpack and Packing Cubes
One of the keys to a successful trip is packing well. We’ve used this 3 Piece Hard Shell Spinner Set on our last few big trips and it’s sturdy and reasonably priced. We got my mom this personalized luggage set and she literally tells me how much she love it every time she takes a trip! A weekender set also makes a terrific gift for people who take short trips.
Packing cubes, one of my travel “must haves” make a great gift or stocking stuffer. Whether you like compression cubes or regular, they’ll keep you organized. At your destination, you can keep your clothes inside and it’s like having drawers.
Another very useful item is a functional travel backpack with laptop space. Multiple pockets on the inside and outside make a bag so useful and great getting through airports. A small stylish backpack is great for people that want something functional but looks great with every outfit. If you have a friend that is getting into photography, a camera gear backpack will be the best gift. The great thing is that the inside can be reconfigured for various lenses and cameras.
Best Electronics Gifts for Travelers
AirPods Pro are the latest and greatest headphones with noice cancelling capability. It’s a perfect gift for someone who doesn’t have them yet.
GoPro Max 360
For someone really special in your life a GoPro Max 360 is a 3 in one camera that will take action photography to a whole new level. It allows you to take 360 degree immersive videos and is perfect for adventure travelers.
Another gift that’s not that expensive and super useful are Apple AirTags You can put one on your keychain so you never lose your keys again. Put one inside your luggage so you can find your checked bag easily on the carousel.
For a lower priced gift that’s awesome, a GorillaPod is a heavy duty, small travel tripod that’s flexible and holds your camera or phone.
For an electronic small gift, consider getting a USB Portable Charger for a backup charge on your phone or a Voltage Converter that will protect your electronics from surges in countries with different voltage. No one wants to be the person that fries your computer overseas.

Trip Inspiration Gifts for Travel Lovers
There’s nothing better than looking at amazing trip ideas to get inspiration. Definitely check out all of the Evolista travel destinations.
On top of that a beautiful coffee table book or travel magazine subscription makes a perfect gift. My new favorite travel coffee table book is 1000 Perfect Weekends. What’s great about it is that you can use it for short trips nearby or as inspiration for things to do far away.
Scratch Off Travel Map to Hang on the Wall
Another fun gift and way to commemorate travel is a Scratch Off Travel World Wall Map. It’s a way to enjoy your past travels or think about future dream trips as a part of your daily life.
or this really cool US Photo Map where you can frame your travels to each state.

Beauty
Dual voltage is really important in other countries because curling irons and dryers can overload your Power Converter. This Travel Straightening Iron that Curls Hair too is small and dual voltage ( 110 or 220). Also compact and dual voltage is this Tourmaline Hair Dryer that folds. No one wants a melt down on an international trip!
Looking for great stocking stuffer ideas. This travel sized Morroccan Oil will keep your hair soft. A Silk Pillow Case is one of the best and smallest things you can pack to protect your hair and skin. Collagen Peptide Packets are portable and keep your hair and skin looking great.
Gift Guide for Travelers Wrap Up
A lot of the items on this Gift Guide for Travelers are also great for real life too. Check out my Favorite Travel Accessories for my “must haves” on every trip. If you have any questions or feel like I left out something that would be great, please share in the comments.

November 25, 2019 at 7:21 pmThe headphones are great for travel and they pack into a small easy to carry case but they’re also nice at home if you’re ever listening to something and don’t want to disturb anyone else. The packing cubes are an amazing space saver and they’re different from traditional packing cubes. Whoever invented them is a genius!
