Best Bali Hotels with Private Pools

The Alila Villas Uluwatu Experience

The mix of architectural elements offset by gorgeous landscaping, pools, lighting and mesmerizing views all combine to make an environment that makes an incredible first impression!

Checking-in was like being greeted as guests at a lavish estate. Instead of standing at a hotel reception desk, we were invited to sit on a comfortable couch and offered a refreshing drink and cool towel.

Our luggage was wisked off to our room and our passports were returned to us wrapped in a bow with a gift card that was the resort wifi password.

The amenities were explained to us and then we were driven off on golf cart that drove us to our room.

The gorgeous design and attention to detail is matched in the quality and attentiveness of the staff. Each person you encounter has a smile that feels so warm and genuine. You can’t help but smile back!

Alila Villas Uluwatu Room

The Alila Private Pool Villas in Uluwatu Bali

This resort has 1, 2 or 3 bedroom villas. Our 1 bedroom villa felt completely private. It has a wall of sliding glass windows that open completely for 3,000 sq² of beautifully decorated, seamless, indoor/outdoor living.

The design of the villa allows the ocean air to pass through. Of course, the first thing we wanted to do was jump in our very own plunge pool!

Then we had to make a tough decision about whether to relax on the lounge chairs or in the the architectural cabana. 🤣

The bedroom is light, airy and spacious with a king sized bed and the softest linens and wonderful pillows.

Each nightstand has a glass bottle of water in addition to bottles at each sink. Water is constantly replenished (at no charge). I’m sure you’ll think I’m ridiculous but that was such a bonus!

There is a desk and awesome wifi (not always the case in Bali). There is also a dining table and probably the biggest day bed I have ever seen.

The bathroom has his and hers sinks with his and hers bath products that smell terrific and are very high quality.

There are 2 showers, indoor and outdoor, and a bathtub with a beautiful view of the pool.

Alila Villas Uluwatu Dining

Alila Dining

The resort offers many different food options. Breakfast is either in your room or at the dining room. I freakishly love room service!! Isn’t that the whole reason for going on vacation😉

So I have to admit that we never had the restaurant breakfast because we were living large with the most unbelievable display of food, set up right in our room and once in the cabana poolside. Such a delicious indulgence!

For lunch and dinner there were a variety of restaurants. We chose Cire for it’s outdoor seating that overlooks the pool and ocean.

It just feels like vacation to dine with such a beautiful view, eating delicious food and enjoying the balmy evening.

Aside from the amazing environment, one of the things I loved most about Cire is that there are Taste and Dine size portions. We picked a bunch of taste dishes and were able to sample a variety of the chef’s specialties. Yum!!

Alila Villas Spa

Alila Villas Uluwatu Spa & Exercise

Vacation is definitely the time to get a massage and we had the best couples massage at the spa. In addition to being super relaxing, it was also really fun.

They started with a cool towel and delicious drink with lemon grass garnish. I’m going to try serving drinks like that at home. We chose between 3 different oils.

Alila has their own line of products which I was acquainted with when I went Glamping at Ventana Big Sur. Our massage room had two tables and an attached, gorgeous bathroom with 2 showers.

From beginning to end, it was so relaxing and dreamy. If you come stay, you HAVE to do this! The massage was amazing!!

Alila Walkway

Exercise at Alila Villas Uluwatu

When I’m on vacation, I’m all about exercise but this time I just wanted to relax. Don’t worry I got plenty of exercise walking up and down to the beach – so much that I had sore calves for the first few days.

If you want more than stairs exercise, you have plenty of options here. The fully equipped gym has everything you need and is beautiful.

You can swim laps in the perfect infinity pool. You can take part in the daily free yoga class. There are also really cool additional things to do like book a private aerial yoga session or a surf excursion.

If you do opt to be like me, you can take the stairs down to the beach and enjoy this incredible ocean paradise.

Alila Villas Uluwatu Beach

Uluwatu

The Alila Villas Uluwatu is such an amazing resort. It would be easy to never leave. However, Uluwatu, Bali has some amazing gems to explore.

The hotel will arrange a car to take you places or they will help you rent a scooter so you can experience Uluwatu like a local. We opted for the latter, which was a total blast.

You can venture out to the Uluwatu Temple for a tour and amazing sunset or go to one of the gorgeous beaches. Uluwatu has incredible surf breaks that are equally fun for surfers and sun bathers.

Someone asked me once about the best hotel I had ever been to, specifically the most unusual or best experience. I would have add Alila Villas Uluwatu in Bali to my top 5.

This is a destination hotel if ever there was one. It’s such a special resort that it worth visiting just for the hotel alone. The fact that it is in Bali just makes it that much better.

¡Por supuesto! Además, hay que contemplar llevar equipaje que vaya de acuerdo al lugar como las gorras, que son un accesorio indispensable.
