If you’ve been scouring the internet trying to decide if Ericeira is somewhere you should visit while you’re visiting Portugal, the answer is a resounding YES!
This cute historic fishing village is one of the best beach towns in Portugal and where we decided to move in Portugal and it’s full of charming hotels and fun activities.
The only thing you really have to decide is where you want to stay in Ericeira. Boutique Ericeira hotels and vacation rentals are plentiful. There are also hostels and retreats for those on a budget.
Many places are walking distance from town AND the beach. Ericeira Beach Bus operates during the summer making it easy to get around if you don’t have a car. Let’s hop right in starting with our favorite Ericeira hotels.
Immerso Ericeira Hotel
The Immerso Hotel is the perfect spot if you want to be a little off the beaten path but still just a short drive to the beach and restaurants. The hotel has a great pool area with ocean views.
The eco chic decor extends from the restaurant and bar area to the rooms.
Choose from a garden or ocean view. All rooms have calming neutral decor, comfortable beds and a patio area to sit outside. Guests love the decor, but most of all they can’t stop raving about the friendly, helpful staff.
We personally spent time at the hotel with some friends that were staying there and couldn’t stop raving. They said it was the best hotel they stayed at during their 2 weeks in Portugal.

Reserva FLH Hotels Ericeira
Set just a 5-minute walk from the beach and less than a block to the main street downtown, the Reserva FLH Hotels Ericeira is one of the best hotels in Ericeira and one of our top recommendations!
Most rooms and suites are spacious and some have large balconies with DAZZLING VIEWS. All accommodations include a flat-screen TV, excellent WiFi, a spacious bathroom, and an air-conditioner.
There are some very affordable smaller rooms that are nicely appointed and the other amenities in the hotel will still make you feel like you have plenty of space.
A delicious breakfast is included in your room rate, as are snacks and coffee throughout the day. The lobby’s stylish coastal decor with comfy couches and tables is perfect for co-working. It all adds to the homey vibe.
We stayed in this hotel for a few nights and loved it so much, we booked another week! The highlights for us were the excellent location, the great breakfast, comfy common areas and those killer views from our balcony.

Aethos Ericeira
Aethos Ericeira is a brand new hotel that opened in 2022 and put Ericeira luxury hotels on the map. It’s a drive away from downtown Ericeira so it’s a better choice if you have a car, but just a quick walk to the beach.
Our favorite features of this hotel is the stylish, yet amazingly comfortable decor (the photos really don’t do it justice) and the stunning ocean views from almost every area.
The rooms, which are spacious and decorated in earth tones, have ocean and nature views. Each room offers a separate sitting area, a well appointed bathroom and a balcony.
In addition to a spa and wellness center, the hotel features a beautiful saltwater pool with plenty of lounge chairs. The concierge will coordinate activities for your from bike rides to hikes and surfing.
And for those looking for a casual seafood dining experience, the hotel offers ONDA. With its convenient location and top-notch amenities, Aethos Ericeira is sure to become one of the best hotels in the area.

Villa Ana Margarida Hotel
Villa Ana Margarida Hotel is a charming Ericeira boutique hotel that was a former home of Joaquim Casado. Located in a center of town, you’ll live like a local only minutes from the beach. We loved it and stayed for 5 nights!
The hotel’s nautical decor and Portuguese explorer theme is unique and so perfect for the location. You will continually be taking photos of the interesting and intricate decor.
The room selection includes well appointed double rooms, family rooms with a pull out sofa bed and suites with private balconies. All rooms are set around a beautiful courtyard.
When you book your room, you can choose to have the delicious breakfast included. It’s completely worth it!
There is also a small rooftop deck with a few lounge chairs that’s lovely to watch the sunset. The friendly staff and excellent location make this property quite popular.

You and the Sea is a beautiful and spacious aparthotel located in the World Surfing Reserve area. If you are looking for a cross between Ericeira hotels and an Airbnb, this is your spot!
You have the amenities of a hotel and apartments ranging in size from studios to four bedrooms.
All units have a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and oven, which is convenient for families and bigger groups. One of the coolest features of the stay is the in-house spa and wellness center with a sauna and fitness equipment.

Traveling to Ericeira is possible with all budgets, and the GiG Capsule Hostel will be a perfect stay that won’t break the bank.
Located just 100 meters from Pescadores Beach, the property includes a shared kitchen and luggage storage. Rooms offer dormitory style pods with shades for privacy and charging ports for electronics along with a shared bathroom.
There is also a deluxe king studio with a private bathroom, full kitchen, laundry and dining table.
The best part of this hostel is that it’s attached to one of the most popular restaurants in town. As far as deluxe hostels go, this is one of the best even if the space is small and you’ll meet lots of friendly, like-minded travelers!!

Selina Boavista Ericeira
Another great hostel in Ericeira is the Selina Boavista Ericeira. The beautiful property has an impressive swimming pool, a shared lounge, and a fantastic garden to enjoy the lovely weather.
Guests may use the shared kitchen and also free WiFi. The rooms have air conditioning, and some are even equipped with a balcony.
They offer mostly bunk rooms, with and without private bathrooms. The room pictured above has a private bathroom if you can reserve it. Guests love the cozy terrace and great view but say it’s a bit noisy. The restaurant onsite is delicious.
