We actually booked a hotel last minute that we thought was a cave, that turned out to be one street outside of Sasso Barisano. It had the look of a masserie in Puglia and was only 60 meters from the Sassi.
Hydria Rooms (9.2) is very comfortable, has the pretty elements of Matera Cave Hotels and parking too. It’s a great option for those that have mobility issues or want to have access to their car for day trips.
