Fall plaid is back with a vengeance. No matter what your style is, you can up your plaid presence with some of the looks below. I’m wild about the colorful plaid outfits that filled the fall fashion runways. It was like the movie Clueless on steroids! Runways and real life are a little different though. Incorporating plaid with just a little pizazz keeps us all up to date and feeling cute.
Tartan Plaid Zippered Pants
These pants are amazing! The traditional plaid is taken up a notch with the cut and coolest double zip detail at the bottom, that you can leave zipped for a skinny pant or open for a slit at the bottom. They come in a blue and red. The blue is sold out everywhere but I thankfully found them HERE. The red plaid is still widely available HERE.
I added the most amazing embellished black blazer to dress up these cute fall plaid pants. I’m seriously obsessed with the blazer and love it with a lace trimmed silk cami and heels. For a casual look, I love these pants with a graphic tee and booties. A black leather moto jacket would definitely finish off the look.
You’ve probably seen lots of checked plaid in suits, blazers, wide leg trousers, etc… While I love this kind of fall plaid, it can be a little boring unless there’s a twist like this bold side stripe. These checked plaid pants are a cross between track pants and the menswear trend. They’re already sold out in stores but available online HERE. I’ve paired it with white mules, a white Zara top and a denim jacket. As the weather cools down, I would love it with a camel colored coat and boots.
These shorts also take advantage of 2 trends – checked plaid and paper bag waisted pants. I’m excited to add black tights underneath when the weather cools down. It would be so cute with a white button down, and a long cardigan. Here, paired with a black silk peasant top and thigh high boots, it’s a great outfit for day or night.
