I am always looking for a creative, fun Valentine’s date ideas because sitting next to other couples in earshot of my Valentine’s dinner doesn’t feel very romantic. Why not switch it up whenever the oppuntinity arises, right?? This is a chance to try something different or something you have always wanted to do. Here are a few ideas for a fun night with your honey that might just turn the romance up a notch.
1. A Weekend Trip
There’s nothing like turning a dinner and flowers into a weekend away. When was the last time you took a few days to be together? Getting away from it all allows you to reconnect and remember how much fun you have together on a adventure or a luxurious hotel.

2. Get a Couples Foot Massage
A foot massage is a little out of the ordinary and something sure to spark some fun chit chat. It also doesn’t get you all oily so it’s a great way to start your date and go off to dinner, a movie or something else afterwards.
3. Go to a live performance
This could be the theater, comedy show, music event or even just find a piano bar near you. My husband and I had a great improv date night recently. We just happened to walk by a tiny comedy club just as a show was starting. It’s great to do things that are out of the ordinary.
4. Couples Sports
Play tennis, golf, try partner yoga, indoor rock climbing, cross country skiing, or take a hike. This could be a great way to embark on a new shared sport together. Couples that play together, stay together!
5. Get some Culture
If you are looking for something budget friendly and culture worthy, go to your local museum or botanical gardens. Most of these are free and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon. Many places have great evening events too.
Instead of being a Hallmark holiday, take these fun Valentine’s date ideas and do something different. It’ll probably set the tone for some fun couples time ahead. We all get busy and this is a great chance to make some fun, romantic time for the two of you.
